There are ads you see on a screen and ads that appear to you on your way to work. The latter are the ones we set in motion for Luck Ra’s arrival in Spain, the Argentine artist who brings his Córdoba quartet mixed with urban rhythms to two cities on two consecutive nights. If you have come across his face on a wall in your neighborhood, you already know what this is about.

How we announced Luck Ra on the street

When a tour has two dates so close together, the street work has to be ready beforehand. In this case we placed posters with all the event information: the artist’s name, the word ESPAÑA, the two dates, the two cities, the venues and the website where tickets are bought.

The poster seen in the photo is on a public road structure, on a corner and next to a street where people walk past and cars pass too. That is the place where a poster pasting really pays off: at a spot you come across without looking for it, around the corner from home or on your way to work.

For the Barcelona concert, the poster points to Sant Jordi Club on April 10. For the Madrid one, to Palacio Vistalegre on April 11. At the top appears the promoter’s signature and at the bottom the ticket website. Nothing more. A simple message, because on the street nobody stops to read a paragraph.

Two cities, two dates and the same message

This type of campaign is set up in transit areas, near concert venues and on busy streets. The idea is not to fill the city with posters, but for the ones you put up to be where people look. Here we worked two cities at the same time, with the same design and the same call to action:

  • Barcelona: April 10 at Sant Jordi Club.
  • Madrid: April 11 at Palacio Vistalegre.
  • Tickets on sale at boombasticcompany.com.

What street marketing brings to an event

Street marketing doesn’t compete with social media, it goes alongside it. A poster on the street does something a post doesn’t: it’s there when the person isn’t looking at their phone. For a short tour, with two dates very close together, that counts a lot.

Poster pasting is one of the most direct tools there are for a concert to be heard about in the city days beforehand. You don’t need a big budget, you need to get the location right. And that’s what we know how to do.

If you have a concert, a tour or an event and you want the city to find out, we put it on the street for you.
